{"id":693,"date":"2016-09-17T05:34:00","date_gmt":"2016-09-17T03:34:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/georges-mathieu.fr\/en\/?p=693"},"modified":"2016-09-17T05:43:35","modified_gmt":"2016-09-17T03:43:35","slug":"three-paintings-of-mathieu-at-the-biennale-antiquaires","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/georges-mathieu.fr\/en\/2016\/09\/three-paintings-of-mathieu-at-the-biennale-antiquaires\/","title":{"rendered":"Three paintings of Mathieu at the Biennale des Antiquaires"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Three paintings of\u00a0Georges Mathieu are exhibited\u00a0this year\u00a0at the <em>Biennale des Antiquaires<\/em>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.biennale-paris.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\">at the Grand Palais in Paris<\/a>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Sucy<\/em> (1965) at\u00a0Daniel Templon&#8217;s stand, heraldic and colorful artwork, with an original structure that is typical of the orthogonal period that started the same year;<\/li>\n<li><em>Machiavel I<\/em> (1952) at\u00a0Applicat-Prazan&#8217;s stand, painted at the\u00a0<em>Studio Paul Facchetti<\/em>\u00a0as well as three other paintings\u00a0including the famous\u00a0<em>Hommage au Mar\u00e9chal de Turenne<\/em>\u00a0whose creation was immortalized by a series of 24\u00a0photographs made by Paul Facchetti;<\/li>\n<li><em>Tenth Avenue<\/em> (1957) at\u00a0Daniel Boulakia&#8217;s stand, painted by\u00a0Mathieu in the basement of a hotel in New York, not in public as in Japan the same year, because his dealer\u00a0Samuel Kootz considered that the speed of execution of Mathieu&#8217;s painting\u00a0\u2014 revolutionary in its day\u00a0\u2014 should be concealed\u00a0from the public.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You have until Sunday, September 18th, to physically discover them.<\/p>\n<p><style>\n\t\t\t#displayed_gallery_d8893924d76296a2713c7c8a82b339bc img { border: none;
