Introduction of the Georges Mathieu Committee

Georges Mathieu died on 10 June 2012. In his will, he named his wife the owner and executor of the moral rights of his work.

The Comité Georges Mathieu (Georges Mathieu Committee), created by M. Édouard Lombard, possesses the artist’s archives, and is the only body authorized to sign certificates of authenticity. Authenticated works will be added to the preparatory files for the catalogue raisonné.

Furthermore, the Committee is actively involved, in the broadest possible way and internationally, in delivering authentication, authorization to reproduce and represent, documentation or cultural communication, in order to protect and promote his work: exhibitions, websites, social networks, enhancement of archives, books, etc.
